I'm starting a company and need to know legality of writing Highly disturbing content.

That should be fine as obscene material is defined as material that is only meant to offend absent any artistic value (that's a rough paraphrasing).

Yeah well I could see someone saying that my material has no artistic value. Basically it is a character talking as me (acting like it is real life) and is beyond anything I've seen or heard of. It's impossible for me to give an example on here right now. But if you have ever seen videos of being tortured and murdered - I go into extremem detail, involving names of people (children, women), etc etc. ALL I can tell you is that some people reading this right now, may think I'm just writing some crazy snuff articles or something. No ..it is another level and I do see how someone could say "Where is the Artistic Value?"" Because really I'm just writing crazy and mixing tons of rhetoric with on going sentences and whatever I want to write! I write anything and everything and don't care. It is an amazing art - but I could see how someone would say that it is sick and just mean to offend people!

Well it is entertainment and I do call my writings entertainment - so I hope to God I'm in the clear like you said.

But still!! This is some beyond hellish content and I know for sure that the right prosecutor could "Pin" charges on me and try to ruin my life. I guess from here I will just make my decision. I will publish it in my lifetime - but the fear for me possibly being given charges including possible child charges is scary. This isn't some Deep Web snuff child porno/ethnicity type stuff - it is on another level. Wish I could give examples but hell no!

If that happens: Don't say anything without a lawyer and contact the ACLU. They might think about helping you because it would be quite the violation of your 1st Amendment rights.

Thanks for the advice and I hope I'm ok. All I can say is that I feel as if the ACLU wouldn't even help me (in my mind). This content is the type of stuff that I could see myself being rounded up in the streets and murdered. It is beyond human..
