Inheriting Vinyls

Just keep in mind, old doesn’t mean rare. There are very few “rare” Beatles and stones records and a lot more that people assume are rare. Those bands were so popular that even misprints were pressed in such massive quantities that they’re worth next to nothing. It’s a safe bet that those records will hold much more sentiments worth than monetary worth so play them and enjoy them and take care of them a part of your relationship with your father. Don’t stash them away thinking you’ll retire on them someday because a) you won’t and b) they’re meant to be listened to.

If you have inklings that they might be worth anything substantial, spend some time on discogs.com and find the listings for the pressings you have to confirm.
