Stuff gets popular and sometimes the results can be a bit annoying. I'm no stranger to this as I had similar feelings about the state of the retro gaming community before I decided to checked out and enjoyed the hobby removed from the online community.

4+ years and 2 accounts ago I used to post quite a bit here. I owned just as many rare and unappreciated albums as I did well known and they all seemed to generate enough interest to keep posting. Yeah, I also noticed the declining interest in anything outside whats popular (to a lesser degree but mostly noticeable in the number of comments) but I left vinyl collecting to play bass and guitar before I ever got to the point where I'd be miffed enough to make a post critiquing the subreddit.

I'm now back collecting vinyl as an occasional hobby and as far as I'm concerned I don't see myself posting much of anything vinyl pickup related to this place so I have no reason to be annoyed at the current trends here.
