It is inhumane that people with terminal illnesses aren't allowed the option of euthanasia

We don't need to "jump to conclusions" if something is terminal and all scientific knowledge suggests it is terminal, if a patient is in constant and ongoing agony, who are we to say they have no reason? We aren't the ones going through the illness and I can think of instances where people can with sound mind say I don't wish to live a moment longer. They accept there will die but they want the pain to end.

As for what precedent it will set, it will set the precedent of actually giving a patient the option of dying with dignity. So if they have cancer for instance, rather than wait around for months getting sicker, losing weight and watching your family grieve, you agree with doctors you know it is over and you want to check out. My strong conviction is that this is there right.

In fact of all the rights I can think of none seem more important than someone's right over there own life. Instead of watching people die with no recourse other than removing the feeding tube and watching them die of starvation, why not help them leave in peace, surrounded by family if they wish, it should be there decision.

It doesn't seem like a dangerous precedent, it seems like the only humane and decent thing to do. Nobody wants to die, but sadly people are forced in situations where they really have to die, let them go i say, if they choose there destiny then that really is dying with dignity.
