Intel CEO earned 1,711 times average worker's pay in 2021

It is a good thing when CEOs make a fuckton of money and the majority of their income is from stock options.

This money doesn’t come out of corporate profit, it’s a product of the company performing well and outside investors running the price of the stock up (which is good for large inside holders AND older investors as their investment has risen).

If this was $170Mn in cash as an expense on the company balance sheet, obviously that would be terrible and corporate mismanagement. But this isn’t a bad thing. When Elon made billions in a year, it’s because Tesla stock skyrocketed and made a fuckton of investors a loooooot of money.

We want this in corporate America so investors, pension funds, whoever can profit off the success of a well run company.
