It was false advertising because this was marketed as Joel and Ellie’s game when in fact it’s about Abby. They are lying for financial gain also which makes it worse as this game wouldn’t have sold nearly as well had it not been marketed this way. Joel was pretty much confirmed to be going on this adventure yet he doesn’t. He was confirmed to be alive, yet he dies 2 hours in. And they tricked us by using an older version of Joel in the trailers, then converting it to young Joel and turned them into flashbacks also including him in scenes where he did not show up in the final product.
