I think part of the reason you've had less success than you'd like over the past 5 years is that it's been 18-23, when many people are in college and have lots of very easy ways to meet people. Regardless, no matter what your age is there is no substitute for going out and meeting people. 1 return for 25 is fine. I usually ask for a meeting after a few messages, I am on the site to meet people that I might not see day to day, not carry on long internet conversations. If I feel like we are both interested I'll suggest a meetup, and suggest it quick. If they are not interested, who cares, there are so many people out there that I could meet.

I think one impression that could come from your profile is that you are a nice guy who is not really sure who he is and what he stands for, when in reality I suspect you are an interesting guy who is not putting enough interesting stuff in there. I'd go more towards posting things that invite people to ask questions to get to know you. For example, the fact that you have moved around could be interesting, why were you traveling? What drew you back to colorado? You don't talk about what you want to do after film school, where do you see yourself in 5 years? I know nothing about film school, are you going to make films, are you interested in teaching, what do you want to do? Pick a few of the films in your list and talk about what you love about them. Don't make your whole profile/identity about being a film school student, but at the same time if it is a passion of yours then you can reinforce that in your profile.

I think this would be a better opening paragraph: Self expression in almost any form has always been a passion of mine. It started with drawing, evolved to animating, and now I'm in Film School! It doesn't stop there though, I love writing, and noodling around with various music, pretty much whatever I can get my hands on. ( I once experimented with that whole melted crayon art thing, it was a disaster, but a ton of fun!)

get rid of this: On a side note, I flirt like a 4th grader "what's that on your shirt? " Then I get your nose.

(Not every single second though, 5 classes per semester is a little rough and overwhelming, so sometimes I just need to be mopey about school)
