Jewish human rights organisation releases statement and demands apology from bighit based on misinformed and twisted facts (info compilation)

You know what? This is actually the first time since the shirt controversy I've actually fully exhaled. Seriously. It may seen weird, but let me explain:

The accusations against BTS re: Nazi sympathy are so, so incredibly hamfisted. Just knee jerk, full on total horse crap. We got a very transparent misunderstanding of the Seo Taiji stuff in Classroom Ideal. Just really severely off -- obviously no attempt to check context. Obviously not Nazi symbols on the flags, not Nazi uniforms. The Hat issue from 2014 (!!!) Is almost absolutely not a swastika as can be seen by the original Cici scans ( not the photoshopped ones with the strangely SUPER clear swastika.)

Then you have the co-signing of the claim by Japanese super right wing nationalists (who are fucking gross) and just...

This, right here, Is where the narrative is gonna start shifting to BTS being bullied. This is where the fuss is just thin enough to have people taking a look and say, " Wait. This feels off. This is odd."

Because it does feel off. And the GP reading these articles will feel it, too.

Look, TBH, I'm not a fortune teller. This could blow up maybe, or I might be an old bat whose talking out her butt about all this.

But something about this sudden statement feels just...way too weird. And I don't think I'm the only one who has that take away. The shirt stuff I got and (despite being from a former Japanese colony and being more sympathetic to the victim perspective) I understood why that blew up. The when was obviously curated by groups for reasons.

This is different though. I know I keep saying that, but it is. And I think this might be where the fight starts to fizzle..or at least the tide changes. For the better, I think.
