Put it this way, the Governments all around the world don't want net neutrality, the ISPs of the world don't want net neutrality. How are you going to fight big BIG lobbying money? You think you're voice is going to be heard?

Sounds defeatist, but that really is the way it is. As soon as we start creating "rights" for internet connectivity it becomes a massive issue for governments when they want to control something, just look at how difficult it is for the US government to even talk about gun control without a massive backlash, so once any form of rights are enshrined in law around internet connectivity there will be no way for governments to express democracy do whatever the fuck they please with your network connections...
