I just started playing this game and this is my experience so far..

While I can see the reasoning for your point of view, I would also counter that it creates massive fluctuations in regards to certain aspects of the economy. I recently began playing again about a month or two ago and the SC chaos:exalt ratio quite literally doubled. 2 Years before it was ~42c:1ex and now it is 81c:1ex on SC. So I would say some of the better items are much more difficult for new players to come by, and especially more difficult to afford. This limits their ability to grow for some time (without insane luck and rng) because some of the best builds become unattainable due to a lack of affordable gear to purchase. As a mostly SC player, I came back and was suddenly 50% poorer. As someone who understands economics to a basic extent, yes this is because of a constant influx of currency dropping over a long period of time, inflating the market value since the top players mostly just hoard thousands upon thousands of chaos orbs while I struggle to stay above 100. So unless I get super lucky with some insanely expensive uniques (which btw I'd venture a guess that 95% of them are near worthless i.e. sell for 1 alch or less) or extreme rng drops of exalts or a mirror, it takes much more effort to build up a reasonable bank of currency with which to spend.
