Just watched Annie Hall for the first time. Am I seriously supposed to believe that Woody Allen is fuckable?

Um, no. Seinfeld was average to good-looking, depending on your taste, though he did date a 17 y.o. (not without many looking askance) when he was in his 30s. I can imagine him being attractive to her, though, whereas Woody just empirically has no attractive qualities - so few it's actually remarkable. It's not just physically - though ugh - it's also his horrible speaking voice, his droning, boring, unremarkable "ideas".

To each their own, I guess, but Manhattan grossed me out when I first saw it in my twenties. ( NYT: "Mariel Hemingway, who played Tracy to great acclaim, spent her time on the set of “Manhattan” doing homework and jumping rope. She was 16. In a memoir published in 2015, she said that after the movie was made, Mr. Allen asked her to travel to Paris with him.") Knew something was wrong with the creep as soon as I saw that overrated piece of dreck movie.

And whatever one chooses to believe about Mia, it takes a special kind of ugly to cast your partner in Husbands and Wives in a story about adultery while you're cheating on her with her kid - a whole level of cruelty that facile, self-serving statements cannot whitewash ("the heart wants what it wants" - there are Hallmark cards less maudlin than this over-quoted, puerile, POS statement adored by emotional infants). It's like Trump, just can't see how his odiousness isn't obvious to everyone.
