Kids born to teen mom's, how different is your life compared to other kids?

My mom had my sister at 21 and me at 23! When I was in middle school I was talking about her to a classmate and happened to mention this fact to her. Now, in our language, we say "ragazza madre" for "teen mom", it can be translated (very literally, this is important to understand my reaction and her question, tho) with "girl-mother".

This classmate looks at me and says "ah, so your mom is a girl-mother". And I, extremely puzzled because 21 still registered as young to 12 years old me but not so young you could say she was a "girl-mother", say "no... She was an adult, and had been married to my dad for a year before she had my sister? She wasn't a teenager and dad wasn't either..."

Funny story, years later, when I was around 18, I uploaded a photo of me and my mom smiling together and a friend asked if she was my girlfriend lmao.
