King of the Couch: Zoovival - Now on kickstarter!

Another 4-player couch-brawler. They all look so good, this one has the most character I've seen out of any of them recently, despite not being the most visually impressive. Which at the same time, it might not look as the "polished" industry-self-serving masturbatory "award-winning" student project 4-player couch-brawler that gets reposted 15 times before they realize nobody will ever care, this one would be the one to play because you can actually see what's happening on-screen.

Also the character gimmicks look unique, suggesting a good variety of play-styles. Those moves are still just a gimmick, it's still just a mechanic that got bolted on when someone realized (in the 90's) the game would be boring if the characters didn't have unique moves. That's another thing, I wonder about these devs and if they've been into the history of these genres or not before they jump on an apparent marketing bandwagon.

One thing I can tell you about games like this is that they were often free.

Why are we making a bunch of the same junk all the time? Where is the open world RPG, where is the classic arcade game with a fresh take? Are games that require thoughtful setup beyond indies today for some reason or are there just a lot of other people waiting in the wings like I am? Haha a chicken! He have a funny head! Come on man, I grew up playing Super Smash Bros and Morrowind.

Is it because you want money? Because I have bad news: those member-berries will garner a lot of complements but probably very few actual sales.

The other thing is like, Kickstart what - you have almost all the mechanics for a game and even marketing materials made. Fuck off with the handouts bullshit and just finish a game. Someone already game us all a handout in the form of Unity's open door rev share model.

You are approaching me and asking for $4,296 for some reason. I do not see a reason that should be happening.
