They're big. On any given year, the odds of them being in the top 3 on this list, along with UCF and Ohio State are very high. Thus they have a lot of fans and money just from sheer volume. That many people cause a lot of noise.

But unlike OSU, they're not great at football. They're a perennially mediocre team that can't seem to make the hires that can take them to the next level. On top of that, moving from the Big XII (which they only managed to win once in 98) to the SEC is a significant difficulty increase to that endeavor. Certainly a better move for the university as a whole, but not good for an already mediocre football team.

There is no hype. Just noise. And that's their whole shtick. Yelling.

The only good thing about A&M is Reveille because she's a good girl yes she is.
