Kojima on him joining Konami in 1986

because, i'm a software dev too and i don't know what to make. it's easier to have someone figure out the idea, put up the money, put together the team for me. i just go in and get paid and go home. there's no uncertainty about it. i know everyone thinks they got a ton of app ideas but when they try to make it happen, they'll probably realize it's not that great of an idea after all.

most people on reddit are nerds in the hard sciences so they want to jerk themselves off by putting the highest importance on themselves. i remember a prof told me when i was 20 that "engineers are a commodity." at the time i just couldnt understand wtf he was saying. i thought engineers were the most important part of a company. as it turns out, engineers are interchangeable. there are a lot of people who can do what i do.
