This lady checking out my Model 3 this morning. I have no doubt Model 3 will disrupt the automotive market.

Yeah but it doesn't cost anywhere near what a Porsche or Corvette cost.

You can buy a new Porsche or Corvette for less than a Model 3 with AP.

Which is why it's game changing.

  1. If that's why it's game changing, then it's not game changing because your assertion wasn't true.

  2. Even if it was true, it wouldn't be game changing.

And you are plenty smart enough to know that's exactly what was meant.

I'm smart enough to think you're not.

It's the looks and fun to drive feel of a much higher end car for way less money.

For the same amount of money.

Mercedes, VW, GM, Porsche, and so on wouldn't be bothering with their current efforts to start electrifying their fleets if Tesla hadn't been succeeding the way it is and forcing the rest of the market in that direction.

Hard disagree on that. You could have predicted the state of the EV market from first principles and it would have the exact same timeline if Tesla had never existed. They're going to start electrifying their fleets because of the economics of electric drivetrains and the trend in lithium ion battery prices, not because some boutique car maker pushed out a few thousand shoddy sedans.

That's the definition of disrupting the market/flipping it on it's head.

Maybe it'd be reasonable to say that, if the assumptions were actually true.
