@ Landlords…and everyone with vacation homes.

You have to disregard reality to subscribe to this line of thinking. True story folks...

There's a "homeless" camp not too far from me. Just prior to the pandemic, my neighbors slipped and fell on a meth pipe. Slowly, they became friends with folks from the camp. (Some were pretty cool people, most weren't).

Neighbor went to jail for domestic violence, and his wife let no less than 10 people move in at any given time. They all received stimulus checks and man they threw some methed out ragers over there. Beating animals, each other, or whatever they could reach. 2 kids lost to the state. (That was the saddest part) Sometimes even running around out front with a shot gun. They broke my windows, slashed my tires, threw rotting food in over the fence and more. I wish I could type a smell, because you could walk down the road and smell that place.

City wouldn't help, police wouldn't help, code enforcement couldn't help. In the end, a bunch of neighbors got together and ran them all off. Took 3 weeks and 2 tractors to clean the garbage from the yard, and there's still piles over there. Rats, needles, roaches, you name it.

So yeah, to think those people "deserve" a house after what they did with the one they squatted....not a chance. Some of those people barely deserve to sleep above the dirt (Specifically thinking about the parents of those poor kids)

We don't live in a world of "should be". We live in a world of "is".
