The latest video by Christina Sommers going over curriculums focusing on insulting gamers and paiting us as sexists got me thinking, why is it that not a single gaming news outlet defended us from those accusations?

Let me tell you about a little thing called the market. The games people want to play enough to pay for them are the ones that will be made. If someone leaves that money on the table, you betcha someone else will happily scoop it up in their place.

This is an unrelated (but not incorrect) statement. This is just furthering my own opinion that if you make it, they will come. Changing what already exists is not the same thing though, and you can't act all high and mighty when people get upset that existing franchises are changed.

Does the phrase "paranoid delusion" mean anything to you?

Let's be clear about what you're actually so a-scared of; a decades old form of critical literary analysis that has been applied to film, tv, advertising, books, music, live performance....etc for decades.

Tell me how tame films like Human Centipede are.

Perhaps the song (and music clip) for Anaconda is nearly puritanical in your view? You know they showed this to a bunch of elderly people who stated outright it would have been considered pornography in their youth.

Which of the media already subjected to this same kind of analysis for literally decades has this "taming" happened to so far?

That being the case, why is it remotely reasonable for you to think it will happen in this case?

It's never done that before, why would any rational person expect it suddenly would have that effect now? Answer: no rational person expects that.

I really have no idea where any of this was meant to be going. No one is "scared" of critical theory. It is a cooky mess of quasiscientific wank.

What does Human Centipede have to do with anything? If by Anaconda you mean that Nikki Minaj song then I have never heard it and definitely haven't seen the video. If I had to guess though I would imagine the video is all kinds of typical T&A, cars, money, dancing etc. Not my kind of music, but whatever. Some people love it. I'd expect I would not find it puritanical, for what it is worth. Not that I see what that has to do with what we are talking about still.

It's not CT it's the people wielding it. Seriously, are you trolling? Are your arguments this weak and unrelated?

Why do I think it will happen? Because gaming journalism seems to hold it's own audience in contempt, wants it self-censored (and if not self, then censored by the stores selling it or the industry at large) and seems to think every game needs token ethnicities, sexes and genders, to push an ideology, or has to be a commentary on social issues. Your own sexist perception of bullshit about GTA is obvious evidence of this, and yet you seem oblivious to it. You can't be anything BUT a troll.

And "it" never does anything because "it" is useless. "no rational person expects that." is spot on. We expect the people to be pushing for the change. As you are and do.

Now, if you don't mind, I'd like to hear your thoughts on the points I brought up that you conveniently glossed over and ignored, namely:

  1. How do you explain your clearly sexist view of the violence in GTA (considering none of it is directed at women, your concern for them is incredibly interesting and discriminatory)? Do you not realise how sexist your white knighting is?

  2. Do you have anything to add about MK or do you concede the point?

  3. Do you have any rebuttals to anything I said about The Zoe Post, or your insistence that Eron was out to get Zoe? Or have you done your own researched and realised your mistakes?
