League Rules

Madden 17 League of Legends is a Madden community of active & dedicated SIM gamers.

After the usual loss of players over the season and with the new console launches, we wanted to provide a place where people could still get great sim-style games for the Xbox ONE. Essentially we want to start with a clean slate and create a place with the existing core of solid players from other half-full leagues.

GroupMe is MANDATORY. It's an amazing communication tool and is super simple to setup and use. Grab the app for your smartphone for free, or get started by going to www.groupme.com For those hesitant to make the leap into groupme, trust us, it's worth it.

League info: League advances every Monday Wednesday and Friday.

Game settings: All-Madden difficulty Quarter length is 8 minutes Accelerated clock is on, running down to 20 seconds on the play clock. No kick arc

We have custom sliders based on some of the more successful leagues and sliders that are around.

All games need to be broadcasted via Twitch. One of the two teams is responsible for starting the broadcast and posting the link in the GroupMe chat when the game begins. ** Make sure you have "Archive broadcasts" option checked in your twitch settings so we can review the games later if necessary. ** If neither party twitches, NO COMPLAINTS FROM THE GAME WILL BE INVESTIGATED. Twitch your games!

General rules: No changing numbers of players No altering the physical appearance or apparel of a player without admin approval No custom playbooks No relocation of teams (Coaches only)

Gameplay Rules: First and foremost this is a SIM style league. If you know what that means, you won't have many issues here.

Respect your opponent. You do not have to like everyone you play, but you will respect them. Verbal personal attacks will not be tolerated. If you aren't mature enough to handle things like an adult, then we will find someone who can.

Schedule your games! If you aren't scheduling your games, you will be gone quickly. Don't wait until the last minute to schedule a game. Drop your opponent a line on groupme or Xbox Live. We all have real lives too, so if you need to go on auto just let one of the admins know.

NO QUITTING, if you have a problem with the way your opponent is playing, pause the game and message your opponent or an admin. If you quit, there will be a game suspension for the following week. If you quit two games, you'll be banned.

Mix up your playcalling. Don't keep running the same formation. At least 10 rushes & 10 passes per game. No using playmaker on passing plays. No nano blitzing. No moving extra guys back to block on punt returns OR kick returns.

No huddle can not be run more than 2 downs in a row unless: You are down by 10 or more points. You are down in the 4th quarter by any amount.

QB scrambling is allowed, just don't abuse it. If you're past the hash marks you need to run or throw the ball away. This is to avoid people running to the sidelines and taking advantage of the broken AI.

Hurry up offense is allowed anytime under 2min in half or down by 14 points or more. It can be use as regular game plan also, but it cannot be ran more than 2 times back to back. If you're up by more than a touchdown, show some class and don't run hurry up.

Players MANUALLY SET IN MOTION must be set before the snap. Certain plays include motion, and those are allowed.

No duck/flub punts allowed. This is when you aim low and cause the returner to muff the punt on purpose. This is a known issue for two years now. It's pretty much a dick move, don't do it. Either punt it full power down the field or out of bounds.

Defense

Blocking Field Goals and PAT - You may attempt to block FG/PAT as long as you run a FG block play and do not attempt any kind of glitch.

Only move ONE guy pre-snap on defense. No stacking defenders to take advantage of the AI. No moving ends off the line, etc.

You must rush at least 3 defenders at a minimum.

CPU Games: Quarterbacks should not have more than 4 passing tds and over 400 passing yards. Teams should not have more than 500 yards TOTAL passing. No offensive player should have no more than 200 yds rushing or receiving, and no more than 3 tds in game. No winning by more than 35 points. 'I simmed the second half' is not an excuse.

User Game stats:

Due to some issues, we are implementing the following rules: If the game is out of reach, do not continue padding stats.

This doesn't mean to not use your star players in a tight game, but in a blowout, these sort of odd stats will warrant consequences. This is an open-ended rule that can be enforced when a situation arises. Don't pad stats and there won't be any issues.

Changing positions: CB must be 32 years or older to move to Safety

WR/FB need to meet the following requirements to move to TE: Over 6'0" Weight over 250 Speed no greater than 80

4 down rules:

You can go for it on 4th down when: 4th and 2 or less Inside your opponents 50 yard line. When you're behind at any point in the 4th quarter. If you are losing by more than 10 or more points, you can go for it on 4th down any time you feel it is needed. These rules do NOT apply in OT.

You are allowed one fake punt/field goal per game. Yardage and field position doesn't matter. Coaches decision!

Trading Rules:

There are two trade per season. During the draft, you are allowed two 'draft day' trades of picks ONLY that don't count toward your season trades. These reset after the SuperBowl each year.

Each team can only have 2 picks in any one round of the draft. This includes in future years! (2 1st round picks, 2 2nd round picks, etc)

NO TRADING WITH CPU!!

CANNOT trade anyone who you have acquired via trade or FA for one year. Rookies are also not allowed to be traded. Players cannot be over 85 overall, the exception are players who are 27 years or older. Once a trade is submitted and approved by the admins it CANNOT BE RETRACTED. #nofaketrades

Post the overall rating, contract length, contract amount, age, and position for each of the players in the trade.

Trades must be approved by the trade committee: Jay Hoop Trip Ghoul Jaws

Committee members must post they approve the trade before it can be accepted in-game.

You can sign ONE Free Agent/Practice squad player per week. Submit these on the Free Agent page. The exception to this is week one of the preseason when you can sign 2.

Switching Positions: Offensive Line can be moved anywhere along the Offensive line. DTs can be moved to DEs, DEs can be moved to DTs DE can be moved to OLB in a 3/4 system, OLB can be moved to DE MLBs can be moved to OLBs, OLB can be moved to MLB Safeties can be moved from FS to SS or SS to FS Anything else MUST be approved from Commissioners.

Infractions: Player vs. Player If you have an issue with your opponent breaking one or more of the rules please contact a commissioner during or immediately after the game. We will look into your concern and make the appropriate response. Consequences for rules infractions range from losing a top player for a game to being suspended for one or multiple games.

Player vs. CPU It's much easier to determine rules infractions in a player vs. cpu game. Automatic AP for ANY CPU rule infraction. Multiple infractions may lead to multiple suspensions or being banned from the league.

If a commissioner breaks the rules, that player will be suspended twice as long. Multiple infractions may lead to multiple suspensions or being banned from the league.
