Could you please provide me with some proof as to where you got this statistic, because from my research, post transition individuals are roughly 23 times less likely to experience suicidal ideation than those pre transition.

By the way, comparing a trans person's struggle with their body with a psychotic individual's disillusion with reality couldn't be more off the mark. To put it simply, a trans person is born in the wrong body, and is well aware of that fact. They know what is best for them (transitioning), and the medical community will back them up. It isn't a disillusion with reality, because they know their reality and are going to work to change it. A psychotic individual, on the other hand, may spend six hours lying around a house because they think they're dead. This does not mean they should be killed, as that won't provide any relief. They'll just be dead. A psychotic individual may be afraid that at any moment, somebody's gonna bust down their door and shoot them. This does not mean that they should get shot, as that would not serve as any benefit, they'd just be dead.

See the difference there? One is aware of the problem, knows how to fix it, and has plenty of medical evidence to support the way forward (being trans). The other is, for lack of a better word, crazy, unaware of their problem, and is unaware of the way forward.
