I game on Linux because I have been using it for everything else for about 11 years and have been gaming on Linux for that same amount of time, I switched over because I wanted to learn something new. I disliked dual-booting but I did for a short time a short while after I decided it was all in or all out with Linux. I don't have to play every game when it releases because you can't play every game at once because there are too many games out there and if I can't play a game there plenty of others I still can play. Also currently gaming with Linux is so easy compared to how it was 10 years ago, so I have nothing to complain because the downsides of gaming on Linux don't beat the upside of doing everything on Linux.
