I was a happy person and NL felt like a wonderland until I joined this sub hehe. This subreddit is tiny and does not represent the entire country. Racism and xenophobia unfortunately exists in every single country but I think NL is doing great compared to other places I have visited.

What I love about NL:

• Dutch directness. I know some people find it rude but for me it makes things easier and I love it.
• My experience dealing with the government (migration, taxes etc) is mostly good
• It's a super safe place to live
• A lot of green areas and not a lot of cars

TBH the only thing that worries me is a growing gap between rich and poor but it happens everywhere.
