Logic’s 1-800-273-8255 made me realize I don’t want to die anymore

Am I the only one who thinks the song is annoying?? Dont get me wrong, I think Logics ok and his intentions were good, but he's even admitted he's never dealt with that kind of stuff. That's like somebody explaining what it's like to be a drug addict when they've personally never even taken drugs, let alone be being addicted to it. He's said he's had people close to him go through it, but not him personally. And I can notice it in the song. This song is just NOT him. He's too positive for this kind of song. His voice and tone just doesn't match the subject. I mean, he's even like "It feels like my life ain't mine/Who can relate? WOO!" Who the fuck woos in this kind of thing? You're making a depressing song and talking about suicide and then go "WOO!" in what seems a positive way. It almost feels like he got too excited to do the song and couldn't hold it back. His talk throughout the song seems very basic talk about it. "I feel like I'm out of my mind/It feel like my life ain't mine" Like he doesn't know what to say because he's never been through it. I dont know who wrote Alessia Cara's verse, but I can't imagine that being Logics writing. Her verse seems more appropriate. "It's the very first breath when your head's been drowning under water" is more suitable.

I've personally dealt with depression and damn near killed myself. If it wasn't for music and my writing, I wouldn't be here. I was a hair line away from squeezing the trigger more and being gone. That shit's not fun. It's serious. The subject as a whole is not a joke. So, when I heard the song the first time, I almost felt offended. If i didn't understand his intentions when listening to it, I may have been.

Not to mention, people took this song as a fucking fad and joined the bandwagon of thinking suicidal thoughts is cool and used it to boost their view from others. That shit's sickening. But, let's face it, if there was real depression talk on this song, people wouldn't of listened to or gotten into it the way people did. It's a 'commercial' suicidal talk.

If this song has genuinely helped you while going through depression/suicidal thoughts. I'm glad it helped you. Trust me, even though you are truly the only one who can overcome it, you're not alone. Just know that.

Overall, it's an ok song. I just dont think kind of song was for him. And probably shouldn't of made it, honestly. But, if it's genuinely helped some people..then good. Better than nothing, I guess. I just see it doing more damage than good.
