You really are making a lot of assumptions about me, considering I'm a stranger on the internet. I've known the word most of my life, as my grandparents believed in building a vocabulary of words since I was a child. I was told then that is where the origin of the slang term "pussy" came from, and to me it makes a hell of a lot more sense than the slang term pussy to refer to a literal cat. And it DEFINITELY makes more sense to me that the term doesn't describe female genitalia. I mean where did that even come from?

At the end of the day, I don't think I've ever called a female 'pussy.' Because, as my understanding of the word, I've used it to refer to my guy friends to egg them on when they were feeling trepidatious as a joke. I think this is generally how people use the term. I think with the advent of the internet and mass pornography, it has somehow come to refer to genitalia. And as such people have made that association, and some people choose to be offended by it. I have never once used the term to call somebody a collection of female body parts, nor have I ever heard it used this way outside of discussions like this where someone is choosing to be offended by it.

At the end of the day, it's a word. If someone decides they are offended by it, then it really doesn't affect me much. I acknowledge that somebody doesn't like the sound of it or whatever, but beyond that I could care less. You said earlier you appreciate people who 'own' the use of that word, and you're somehow pushing it on me.

I could choose to be offended by you using the terms "Jesus fucking Christ," because of religious beliefs. I could choose to be offended by your lackadaisical association between myself and a nazi. The point is you're picking and choosing which words are offensive and which words aren't. And then you cap it with calling me a "dick."

I've not intended to offend you in any way, and your language is chalked full of intent to offend me. Seriously, I honestly feel sorry that you are so shaken up by a complete stranger and is alleged misunderstanding of the use of a word. Your life must be extremely stressful if things like this set you off, and I really do hope you're able to relax one day and not let these kinds of things affect you to the point where you feel the need to be verbally abusive towards others.
