Of course it’s an annoyance when someone hogs the left lane but I have realized a pattern for these people:

• if the left lane is an HOV lane, the people who drive on it assume it’s a cruising lane even if the other lanes are going faster.
• if the left lane driver is an older man/woman, they are less likely to move out of the way.
• Even if you tailgate or flash your high beams, some will not move out of the way. Be careful doing that, because we have a lot of crazies here that have no problems getting into road rage.
• Some left lane drivers will speed up once you get in front of them, which makes no sense.
• Some flip you off if you get in front of them, which makes no sense.

I am guilty of this, where I have passed a left lane driver and went in front of them but within a close distance, to show they are driving slow, but doing that to the wrong person would not end good
