Maybe they didn't think it was going to affect me as much as it did, maybe they thought that I could cope, but I know that they loved me and weren't purposefully trying to make my life more difficult.

People are wrong all the time. They might have thought they were doing the right thing.. Is it somwhow morally "bad" of them to have been "stupid"? Should we blame them for it?

I doubt it will help, unless they are also obnoxious in other areas.. But then again, being obnoxious and acting in a stupid way etc is also a kinda adhd-related thing since it might be caused by learning disabilities or why not some oppositional defiant thing related to certain areas..

It might be good to depend less on parents, to decrease interaction with them if they don't realize the gravity of the situation..
