Macron rejects trade deals with countries outside Paris climate agreement

I’m increasingly of the opinion that the United States is a failed experiment for one simple reason: it’s far too large to represent the interests of all its people. A person in California may have far more in common with a person from Germany than a person from Mississippi, and yet a single government is supposed to equally represent both of these US citizens. It’s just not feasible as we move forward. I fully understand that the US being the monolith it is deters a lot of global instability, but A) we’re fucking that up as we speak, and B) it may be a good idea for the globe to adjust to a fracturing America before we actively light off another civil war over here.
