I mean, they might have something of a point. I remember reading [the summery of] a study that said that more intelligent people are more likely to identify with more radical forms of politics, whether on the left or the right. This indicates that they are trying to appeal to people with less than superlatively functioning prefrontal cortexes. If you are a normie dumb dumb, you are dumb enough to fall for it. If you are a leftist smart person, you are not dumb enough to fall for it, and are smart enough to reinterpret it as a badge of honor, and if you are a right wing smart person, you are smart enough to do what you always do to make your ideology more attractive: lie your fucking ass off.
