Males of reddit, what is something you like that is generally considered feminine or "for girls"?

I agree with that. Gender doesn't matter in a polite "yes".

It's just that it feels like some of the people receiving "yes" as an answer tend to take it as a commitment to a long term relationship from the get-go. And they get extremely invested in the relationship from the start which sometimes pushes the person who agrees to the relationship away. As it can be overwhelming for them. And they'd complain about the "clinginess".

I just find it conflicting when these types of people get extremely upset when they get dumped. They didn't realize that the other party wasn't as interested in them from the start. But it's parts and parcels of life. They'd have to learn that sometimes a "yes" to dating doesn't automatically mean "I love you too". I just find it uneasy to tell them that.

I occasionally find it uneasy when the person who says "yes" knew that it gave off the wrong signal, but never clarified it until the absolute end of the relationship.

But, fundamentally it's not their fault. They are just taking a chance to see whether the relationship works out, and it's beneficial for both parties to do that. It's more of a win-win situation. They both have a chance to try it out.
