Mark Zuckerberg's Facebook hearing was an utter sham

Cooperative? Maybe I'm just completely biased because of my utter loathing for Facebook and what it represents, but to me, his entire testimony reeked of condescension. One of the Senators - Hatch, maybe? - asked Zuckerberg to get back to him about something. Zuck's response? "I'll have my team get back to you." That emphasis on the correction is not mine. Listen to the tape, and you'll hear how clearly he wanted to emphasize that he didn't have the time to spare for a United States Senator.

Now, I'm not one to kowtow to elected officials. Most of the people in Congress are corrupt, incompetent, or both. But they are still supposed to be the living embodiment of the people's will. That Senator was one of two people elected to represent a state, one of 100 whose nominal job is to represent the entire nation. And Mark Zuckerberg just brushed him off like the wannabe groupie who wasn't hot enough to be invited backstage. It was revolting.
