This market is maddening

It's part of what's so dirty about the crowd that says "just rent it out til it's sellable". Renters will not properly maintain your property. They do the amount needed to make sure they receive their security deposit back, but that's purely superficial stuff.

A while back I moved in with a coworker as a sublease for a house he renting. I asked what's up with the water stain in the kitchen ceiling. He said I dunno, I said isn't that where your bathroom toilet would be located? "Oh, yeah I guess. Oh by the way we just hand wash our dishes, the dishwasher is broken too." Did you tell your landlord? "Nah, we barely use any dishes anyway." They had filled the garage (literally, filled, as in you couldn't see the floor) with cardboard from amazon and takeout. What are roaches favorite food besides food? Cardboard...
