Not sure we gave our agent the opportunity to reach out to us on that step. She gave us access to a realtor platform and we were on new listings the second they came up, doing our own research and comps as best we could.

We were looking in a new city and had to travel to view on weekends. So we'd send her our shortlist on Thursdays, she'd call the sellers to check our dealbreakers (no tenants, short close, etc.) then she'd send us our Saturday viewing schedule and meet us at the first house.

If you want your realtor to be the one to find listings and do all the research for you, that's totally cool and it is 100% part of their job. Just make sure you're crystal clear with them about your expectations, including frequency, because a lot of people these days tend to want to do that part themselves.
