I didn’t (hadn’t heard of this service before) but I did shop around with different lenders (my bank, my credit union, a lender recommended by a friend, and the lender my broker went with) and I’m very happy with rate and APR I got!

The one thing that surprised me is that after deciding to go with the lender with the best rate (who was also very easy to communicate with) my bank reached out to me and said they claimed they were willing to match the other lenders rate (before I’d even told them what other lender was offering me). I’d assumed that rates were not negotiable, and when a lender gave their estimate that was it- at least my bank (Chase) seemed willing to negotiate/match external offers.
