Mass Effect 3’s biggest sin is that it wrote the Milky Way into a corner

There is so much background stuff in the Milky Way that we never saw. And even the stuff that we DID see, can be expanded upon so, so much. I am fucking ecstatic they are coming back to The Milky Way.

They seem to have conjured the guts to just pick a cannon ending and roll with it. Get it out of the way, so that all that worldbuilding that was evolving for 3 games can come back into the spotlight. I welcome that with open arms. Andromeda was kinda boring, and the fact that it was only one cluster was their choice and the consequences show. Why should they go to another unexplored place, where there is a place that is still largely unexplored (only 1% of TMW is in ME universe), but has an established governments, races, colonies?
