As a young, healthy hospital back-end remote worker who has gotten the first shot, this reasoning is bullshit. They gave us the shot because there's a shitload of us, and the hospitals already have databases with our names in them and software to do scheduling. They did it to buy time and keep the vaccines flowing while they figured out how to fix their prioritization mess.
