Members of Congress charge $2,500 to sit with them at a Taylor Swift concert

What doesn't regard you as a number?

Human beings who don't stand behind corporations.

You also are focused on the wrong end of things. This was a very small point in a larger argument, where I said that humans need to think critically in order to avoid being taken advantage of.

Humans should think about their actions, what they say when they spend money, and what they do with their time. Do you disagree?

Frankly I'd be far more concerned about journalism or mega corporations like Walmart and their parallels to 1984, than with the fact that people listen to music on the fucking radio.

I hate to inform you of this, but the music industry is far larger, and far more powerful than you think.

I've never heard of the former album, and fucked if I can remember which Beethoven piece you're referring to, because I rarely hear classical music and most of it sounds the same to me.

That's literally because it's over your head. You don't understand formal structure, can't follow the development of a melody, and can't identify harmonic progressions. Also, what the layman calls "classical" music spans hundreds of years. I am certain you would not think that all classical music sounds the same.

Right here you're clearly saying that in order for you to be okay with someone's musical activities, they have to either listen to music the way you do, or not listen to it at all.

Once again, I am not telling people where to direct their interests. The quote you gave is me saying where I direct my own interests, and that when someone is interested in something, I do believe that they should take the time to pay attention to it. If you don't scuba dive, I don't think you should take the time to learn about scuba diving (unless you want to). But yes, I do think one who listens to music should pay attention to the music they are listening to. Once again, that isn't me telling someone how to live. Do you think people should adhere to certain principals? Do you think if people picked up certain habits, the world would be a happier place to live in overall? Does it bug you when people do certain things? The answer is yes. Does it make you wrong for feeling that way? No. Can you force people do anything? No. And I can't, and have no desire to. If people don't critically think willfully, there's no point in it.

I don't know how many times i've pointed this out, but every time you acknowledge it, you say something else that implies that it isn't okay for people to explore their interests differently than how you say they should.

It is okay. People learn at different rates. People pick up on different things. People are smarter and people are dumber. People take to different things, and focus on different aspects of life.

But I don't think it is okay to be a "mouth breather", going with the masses and passively accepting everything. I think that is a problem for reasons I have already stated. And I do think the US is closer to an Orwellian society than it has ever been, and if we don't pay attention to what is going on around us, and how easily we are manipulated, it will get closer and closer.

And yet there's probably a ton of hypocrisy to be found here.

Does that really matter? Is someone right or wrong based on how they behave? Is an argument nullified based on who says it?

If you truly didn't care, you wouldn't have brought it up at all. No, I don't understand TCP/IP beyond port forwarding and what it takes to get connected to the internet and allow devices to communicate with one another. Those things are a means to an end which is Reddit. Yes, I know about Reddit. I understand much of its inner workings, have problems with it, and the people who run it. I also have things that I like about it, and the way it is run. I have spent time researching how the company treats its users and moderators.

So why haven't you learned the process of making games yet? A programming language? APIs? Development models?

I'll keep it brief per your request.

I have spent an extensive amount of time learning about game development. I have read books, forums, and watched hundreds of videos on the subject. I have started learning a programming language. After dabbling in Phython, C++, and C#, I went with GML after being impressed by its simplicity and capabilites (I don't have much desire to do highly complex things) because I'm honestly have a poor memory, and I wanted a community that could help me out frequently (they are awesome). I know little about APIs, and I'm not sure what you mean by Development models, so I guess I am not even aware of them.

But already, I have shown that I once again did take the time to learn more about the things I enjoy, which was my whole point.

I attended Winthrop University and The University of South Carolina. Both schools had a separate building for musical endeavors, so students in those buildings very rarely have consistent classmates outside of music classes. Nothing is stopping people who really wanted to go out of their way to meet people in other buildings, but that doesn't nullify my point that "students are unlikely to mingle for that reason".

Honestly at this point you seem far too concerned with tearing down my argument and insulting me than actually getting anything from what I am saying. I feel certain I have made valid points, even if I have also made invalid points. But I do not feel that you are respecting the time and effort it takes for me to type these things.

Sure, I bet you feel the same way about me, but I would like to point out that I have said almost nothing about your character, have said nothing vulgar to or about you, and have focused on raising new points instead of tearing yours down. I'm sure you will want the final word, and I'll let you have it if you so please, but at this point, unless you bring up something novel to discuss, I will let the conversation fizzle out.
