I’m a therapist and almost my entire professional background has been working with kids and adolescents, many from the foster care system. I’ve read and seen some fucked up shit.

I have one right now that is really bothering me though. Pre-teen girl alleged abuse, borderline torture, a year ago and almost immediately began displaying psychotic symptoms and extreme rage and aggression. She bites chunks out of her skin and used a floss pick to dig out one of her fucking teeth. She acts, quite literally, like a caged animal because she was treated like one. Turns out she’s suffering from possible dissociative identify disorder (multiple personalities).
