Met a guy in another city and really like him. Did I mess up this once in a while hookup? Advice needed.

I think you should share your story on /r/fpua

This sub is mostly for male-female attraction and all I could tell you is that; we guys feel contempt for and rarely remain attracted to girls we meet at bars/tinder who give in too quickly and easily. The way to make him "date you" is by becoming his oneitis, his crush, the fish that got away. If he got sex so easily, he can now go for his new conquest, on his bed, swiping tinder...

I am super picky too and he is not the most attractive guy ever but the personality and demeanor and accent makes me so wet

You mean he wasn't the best looking guy ever, and in a way he was, you just don't know what you are attracted to. Females are attracted to a set of qualities that a man has to display which we group up as "Alpha Male Attributes". It's not his looks. You are never attracted to how handsome a guy is. He acted in a way that was attractive, and that made you want him. You still want him. The thing with attraction; if you meet a guy and interact with him long enough to have an impression of him: and you are attracted to him - there is nothing you can DO to change that. You may tolerate abuse or bad behaviors, but you will remain attracted to him. It's not a choice, but an evolutionary mechanism, an instinct, a biological response like your menstruation. You can't "decide" to do it at will. However, he can kill that attraction by changing his personality and not acting Alpha anymore.

If you want to forget about him, make yourself believe that he is:

1- needy
2- desperate
3- can't lead you and hesitates before making decisions, looks up to you
4- has no options other than you
5- can't make you feel safe
6- would rather stand and watch , than stand up for you when you are being intimidated by a stranger

make yourself believe those and justify these facts about him from the way he acted, and you won't be attracted to him or remember him soon.

Good luck, and remember "the fish that got away" :)
