Mid Life change from Real Estate to Nursing-Any advice/tips?

To be honest, poop is a lot of our job. The nurses that don’t clean it up are the ones that no one wants to work with.

As for starting in pediatrics and moving toward injectables and “hormone optimization,” it sounds like you’d be a better fit to become a registered dietician.

As someone who has worked in aesthetics, it’s hard to get into depending on your area. A lot of experienced nurses are taking those jobs. And you can’t just do Botox or filler without working under or prescribing with a doctor as an RN or NP, respectively, and there can be a lot of risk with injecting filler without proper training. No one seems to understand that.

Registered dieticians complete a lot of education with clients and work to help balance hormones without having to do too much of the “dirty work.” They come in and give recommendations and do their best to educate patients, and then they get to go home. It seems like a better fit for your mindset if you’re not about helping patients in their vulnerable states.

Again just my two cents. You can always get a job as a tech to see what bedside nursing is about because you’ll have to do it for a couple years before trying anything else to have experience for your resume.
