The main reason there are two and only two political parties are wedge issues like guns and abortion and campaign funding. I would love to see the two party system go away but since roughly the Civil War period it’s been that way and nothing seems to change it. In terms of your policy issues 1) legal weed is here and moving state by state and will eventually be federal within I guess five years. 2) until we can get a labor movement that is supported by both parties nothing will happen on the FLSA. 3) I like to look at the big picture and Medicare trust fund A is going to be depleted in around a decade maybe less. I think sometime mid 2030s we get a major change on healthcare. Current system too much money goes to useless insurance companies that do nothing but steal. 4) we need to get all gasoline powered cars off the road as soon as possible and start installing a ton of solar panels and wind turbines and develop battery tech to transmit energy. Boomers are the problem here and are greedy and want their fossil fuel stock money. 5). Current educational system at college level is funded as a Ponzi scheme and it’s going to crash this decade. We are at $1.8 trillion debt -national emergency but nothing will be done. Country is run by geezer crooks who stuff their pockets with cash with one foot in the grave.
