Exotic bounties are great
Fuck everything about the "Kill using void damage. You lose points if you die." Bullshit.
I was one of the lucky few who simply had exotic bounties pissing from every which direction and I'm 90% sure all my friends hated me for it. Jokes on me because now I'm the only fucker without the Gjallarhorn. Anyways, I got this bounty maybe 2 and a half weeks after Destiny's launch. No idea what it was but it was a cool looking bounty so I rolled with it.
Step 1.) Complete The Summoning Pits. Easy enough
Step 2.) Kill 500 Hive enemies. Also easy. I learned about The Dark Beyond VERY early on coughthanksyoutubecough
Step 3.) Gain 500 points by killing Guardians in Crucible with Void Damage.

Take mental note, I'm stupid and need to do everything ASAP so this is partly on me. When I got this, the only fucking void weapon I had two and a half weeks in was a rare void sniper rifle. I didn't have a Fusion Rifle. I dismantled every rare shotgun I got so I wasn't sure if any of them were void. My vanguard rank was still at 1. Also, as a Titan, I didn't even know there was a second god damn subclass until WELL into the second month (I thought all void bubble titans were selected at the menu... These were bad times).
I fucking got ALL 500 points using that RARE void sniper rifle.
10 Hours. This one part of the bounty was my fucking Saturday. I have NEVER prayed so hard in my life for First Light to appear on the rotation so I could fucking snipe. I had to MASTER the art of CQB sniping. You will never know someone who camped harder on Shores of Time Point C looking over to Point B than I.
I cursed Bungie. I cursed Destiny. I cursed all the gods in the digital heavens that didn't bestow upon me the fucking Gjallarhorn but instead gave it to the guy that was in second to last place while I sat at third with sniper defend kills only.
I had two weeks of solid PvP fun. After that bounty, I didn't dare return to PvP until two weeks after TDB came out. It was my nightmare and I will forever be scarred by Thorns. It remains in my Vault, 260 damage and unupgraded, and will forever rot in there for all the hell it caused me.
