[Misc] "The Skincare Con" a harsh but interesting opinion piece on the skincare regime industry

yeah the author wrote some good stuff about how people see a pimple and overreact but this definitely undermines the psychological effects “bad” skin can have on you regardless of outside pressures. Also super ignorant and what she mentions about acids..yeah if u use acids too much it’s gonna ruin your skin just like using anything wrong has a neg effect lmfao. Also I don’t understand the whole buying expensive serums to brag when (at least in this sub)people looove their inexpensive The Ordinary and asian choices! Personally i love skincare because i love the way it makes me skin feel/look and how it makes me feel! I don’t talk to anyone else outside of this sub about skincare bc i do it for myself by myself. Lowkey seems like this author was born with naturally nice skin(judging from her twitter profile pic her skin is gorgeous!)so has so no true understanding of how important skincare is for others. just a lil triggered lol sorry !
