I was born in the same year as molly mae and tbh with you I wasn’t even aware of the 9/11 attacks until I was a teenager because conceptually, a kid isn’t able to grasp the meaning or impact of a terrorist attack, add on top of that the fact that it wasn’t even in her own country. Ofc different situations affect different people but it did come across as a little per formative, even more so when I saw the post from PLT more than her. As a company, your main goal is to cash in. Molly mae is an influencer so she might want to influence other people to care or at least remember what happened. I for one, also live in the UK and didn’t repost or post anything regarding 9/11 bc tbh it didn’t impact me but I appreciate how heartbreaking and history changing the event was. I can do that without posting anything online on socials. I think that’s where the disingenuous comes from for me but it’s nothing too too deep for me. For an American severely impacted by this is may come across totally different
