Most Embarrassing X Factor Audition

It's not just their family, that's the problem. Here's why I hate this TV show - I worked on a previous production of the show and all contestants have to go through pre-auditions in front of producers before they get to this stage, where they're not judged on their vocal talent, but rather their entertainment factor. So somebody could audition and be terrible, and the producers go "that was great, come to the next audition", then they turn up a few weeks later, do the same awful performance - "that was great, you're through to the judges' auditions!" Then they turn up for those auditions, thinking they've got a chance, but they embarrass themselves, get told they're shit and we all laugh at them. It's not fair to some people who clearly get affected by it. And they can't do anything because they sign a release form before filming.

Also, on the series I worked on, some people were headhunted from YouTube. So they avoided those pre-auditions and were personally contacted and invited to see the judges. Then rejected and laughed at. And the ones who are talented and actually have a chance of being artists, most of them are already signed or under management and are lesser known artists.

One guy was invited on, but admitted he couldn't sing, and they told him it didn't matter because it could lead to him being a TV presenter or something. But he thought the judges would put him through and then let him down gently in the next round. Instead, the judges were incredibly insulting and told him he was wasting their time.

And what about all those people that queue up to audition?! Well, there's not that many. It's just filmed to look like there is.

So basically, keep in mind when you're watching this that people haven't just turned up with the hope of making it in the music business. They're being misled, and so are you.
