Is the movie industry (especially Hollywood) in trouble?

What a great read.

I don't think Hollywood, or film in general, is going to die within the next few decades. Die as in, being completely non-existent. Like I said, as long as there are people around, there are stories to tell. It's just that at some point, like you said, changes need to be made.

You touched on so many things, and I really do want to talk about them a lot more but I feel like this'll take hours.

I've always compartmentalized movies into : A) Just for someone's profit (These are obviously Superhero movies and Starwars) and B) Made for Oscar and C) Movies nobody is going to watch that deserve to be watched most.

The movies that belong to C are usually movies that have nothing to do with Hollywood.
