Holy hell reddit really likes to get racist when if comes to topics like this. What the hell do you think Muslims are like? These kids aren't people raised by ISIS for gods sake. I have a lot of Muslim friends who would easily admit that there are girls who are better than them at sports (even ones that they play). These Muslims go to a specialized Islamic highschool. This means that they are probably more religious than most Muslims. It is a rule in Islam that guys and girls are not suppose to make physical contact. The couch probably had no idea that the other team had girls on their team and could not raise concern until halftime. I'm not saying the couch was right; they should have just forfeited but try not to be a bigot and view both sides no matter how much you disagree. Also, since these boys can't make physical contact with females it would be very easy for the girls to just maneuver around the field. I want to emphasize again that I do not agree with the coach and that they should have just let it go. I just want you to realized that these kids most likely didn't have anything against the girls or girls playing soccer. Its just that they themselves, religiously, could not play against them. They signed up for what they believe was an all boys tournament, which is allowed in their religion. They had no reason to believe otherwise as they were not aware of the rule ROPSSAA made that girls could join if there were no boys available. They should have just forfeited and been on their way. (Side note: if they had forfeited and been on their way this article would have simply been named "Muslim boys high school forfeits soccer game because other team had female players". Its easy to make a certain group look bad without insight.)
