Pili Multigemini, a lot of men get them in their beards but they can grow anywhere. I've had several of them, a few in my face, a few on my arms and one at the back of my right nasal cavity. They hurt like a son of a bitch when you pull them. The one in my nose was real deep and I could feel the end of it with my finger, I yanked it with tweezers and I thought it eyes would never stop watering. It was like an inch long and felt like a 12 gauge wire. I could yank it like twice a year and after a few dozen times it seems to have stopped growing.

Some can get ingrown too, I had one in my cheek that grew under the skin, it submarined under the skin and produced this nasty ass raised red welt and painful line that was about 1.5" long. I managed to pick the skin off above where it turned under the skin and teased it out, a huge thick black thing. I yanked it and it actually bled a little. It happened 3 more times and I read somewhere that you should not pull it because it just keeps coming in ingrown again. So I dug it out one last time and left it sticking out and carefully trimmed it close and let the skin heal around it. it took about 2 years for it to totally heal and I still have the nasty thick stubby hair and a bit of a scar.
