We have been getting along with every other big decision other than just him thinking he has to spend so much on the ring. Our place, our bills, when we gonna move, the future etc. Him spending so much money won’t put us on the streets or anything but I just don’t feel it’s necessary.

He has been always looking up to his cousin since he was little and they get along very well.

And I’m not sure if it matters but his cousin, his brother, his parents, and some other family members been getting their ring from the same store. I know that once he gets the ring it will be from that same store and it is also not the cheapest collection of rings in there.
