My boyfriend failed his drug test...

"My boyfriend told me today that he tested positive for marijuana. They're giving him an OTH and sending him back to the states. We met here in England and I'm a British uni student so I can hardly go with him so he'll have to apply for a visa before he can come back to be with me.

I feel terrible because before he met me he was a model airman and he hadn't smoked weed since the day he enlisted. After we met he sort of went 'fuck it' and started doing it with me if he had a long weekend etc. 2 weeks ago he asked me for a 10 bag and that basically screwed him over. He smoked it all in a day and tested positive a few days later.

He literally got the news today that he made staff sergeant but they're not giving it to him because of his test.

So my question is... Is there any way to stop him from getting kicked? What if I own up to it and take the blame? I really feel like I've ruined his life and I really don't want him to go. I asked him if it was my fault and he said yeah kind of and I hate that I've dragged him down with me. Before he enlisted he was a heavy smoker but he had been clean for 4 years until this year and I feel like he'd never have done it if we hadn't met."
