Yeah, I have a degree in computer networking, it's rusty but still there, and I've used enough Ubiquity stuff I know I could get it working. Actually the WISP I'm on now is Ubiquity run lol.
Yeah, I looked into the Self-WISP deal too, I have a Level 2 type fiber network vault 200' from my house, and they said they could get me 100/100 low latency fiber to my "business" for the low low price of $800 a month....
Ouch.
Plus I had to sign a 5 yr contract.
The contract was actually the thing the killed it. As I knew the likelihood of WISP's being a thing of the past would be high if Starlink became a reality, and I would be stuck with this fiber contract myself without enough customers to support it.
Anyway, great minds think alike.
